When I read the idea that this is something that my teen and I could do together I just had to try and win this for him! I have been finding ways for us to connect. I have tried to teach him a few things about using a camera….but he just does not want to hear it from his mom. But from someone else….that is another thing all together!

Yes I do have a 4th child

Yes I do have an older child. He is just to much like me and hates to be in front of the camera. But guess what! He has no choice now! He is almost 18 and I want to get as many photos as I can before he is officially a man. I feel so old sometimes when I look at him!

The many faces of a sick child

We just finished a round of the tummy bug in our house. All 5 of us got it within a 3 day period. It is very hard to take care of sick kids when you are sick yourself. Isaac was so good about being sick! He barley complained at all...and when he did he was so darn cute!

Attitude!

Wow has it really been since September that I posted photos of the kids. I will try to be better at getting more photos on the blog. I do take photos all the time....I just don't edit them. James did a wonderful job! Mellissa not so much. Once we came inside I found out why after I took here temp. Poor girl has a 102 fever! Isaac lasted about 2 seconds outside so I had Matthew take him in so I could just do photos of Mellissa and James. Today I asked the kids to give me some attitude. And boy did they! I have so many more to edit! But wanted to show a few.

First couple are of Isaac. You can see he wanted nothing to do with photos!

This mornings beach outing

The kids don't understand that the weekends are for sleeping in. So I decided to pack them up and head out the door even before the sun was up. Getting Matthew out of bed to join us was a failed attempt. We did not stay to long for I forgot to bring any extra diapers for Isaac. The last few minutes there I just let him run around naked and prayed that he didn't poop in his car seat on the way home. I wonder what a cop would think if I got pulled over seeing a naked baby in his car seat with just a towel over his baby bits in case he peed.

Did I mention that early morning is my favorite time on the beach!

Isaacs first experiance at the beach

My favorite time on the beach is when the sun is rising. Mornings are also the most quiet and peaceful time of day.

This morning I decided to take Isaac and drag Matthew with me to the beach.

At first Isaac was not quite sure what to think of the beach. The first 5 minutes he looked at the water with a scowl on his face.



Then he noticed the sand and tested it out with 1 finger.



Then with a whole hand.



Then he saw a stick he wanted.



Next think I know he quickly stands up and rushes toward the water. He loves water!





I gave up keeping him out of the water after a few minutes. He was determined!



Then I asked Matthew to take him for a little walk so I could get a silhouette photo.

There is a new place in town!

I took the kids to Frosting today. The kids told me they want to come every day. I don't blame them! I of course had to bring home some treats for myself. There goes the weight I lost last week!
